Services/Nursing Care

The Rickman Nursing Center at the Western North Carolina Baptist Home
offers private or semi-private rooms for residents who require nursing care
services for short-term illnesses or after hospitalization for a recuperative period
of time.  Nursing care is also provided on a continuing basis for residents requiring
long-term skilled nursing care.  Licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants
provided around-the-clock care.

Resident Services provided at the Rickman Nursing Care center include the following:

• Assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing and eating
• Three meals and snacks daily 
• Daily housekeeping
• Medication monitoring
• Beauty/barber shop *
• laundry and linen service
• Transportation for medical
  appointments and shopping
• Health insurance filing and follow-up
• Social work services
• Recreation and worship activities
• Cable TV
• Nurse Call System
• Speech, Occupational and Physical therapy services
