Coronavirus Updates

At Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina, our priority has always been to keep our residents and staff safe. We are closely monitoring COVID-19 and its impact and have proactively taken steps as recommended by state and local health officials as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to keep our communities, residents and staff safe.

We look forward to hosting you on our campuses when we are once again open for tours, meals, activities and events. Thank you so much for your cooperation and understanding during this unprecedented challenge. We are all in this together – and together, we will get through it.

Brookridge

  • Cumulative residents tested this week: 0

  • Number of residents vaccinated: IL – 95 percent; health care – 98 percent
  • Cumulative employees tested this week: 57
  • Current positive employees: 0
  • Number of employees vaccinated: 104
    Due to  Forsyth County positivity rates, we are testing all unvaccinated staff twice a week.
  • Any new positive COVID-19 cases:  No
  • Updates to visitation policies: We are limiting visitation to two family members per room, including children. If you are coming to visit, you MUST check in with security at the healthcare center. We will track the number of visitors in our facility at all times. Independent Living visitors must also check in with security. All visitors will be required to screen, perform hand hygiene, and wear a mask at all times. Masks are required in resident rooms and common areas. Please visit outdoors as weather permits. The Health Department is reminding you that COVID is running wild in our community. We must protect our susceptible residents.

    Flu and Pneumonia Clinic for Healthcare Residents will be held October 19th, 2021.

Taylor Glen

  • Updates to visitation policies: Currently, only compassion care visits are permitted indoors on Health Care and Assisted Living. Outdoor visitors are welcome and set up an appointment at the front desk. At this time all staff are being tested twice weekly.

Taylor House

  • Cumulative residents tested this week: 13
  • Current positive residents: 0
  • Number of residents vaccinated: 11
  • Cumulative employees tested this week: 20

  • Number of employees vaccinated: 7
  • Any new positive COVID-19 cases: No
  • Updates to your visitation policies: Beginning Monday, August 23, we will no longer allow residents to leave the community with their family. The number of COVID cases in our county continue to rise. We feel this step is a necessary change that will help keep residents safe and the virus out of our building.
    Indoor visits remain the same – two visitors for 30 minutes.
    Outdoor visit (weather permitting) also remain the same – up to 10 visitors for up to one hour.
    Families must call the activity director 24 hours in advance to schedule visits. Families must call the activity director by Friday at 3 p.m. to schedule weekend visits.

Western North Carolina

Western is on Outbreak status until October 4.
We are testing all staff 2 times per week and all residents 1 time per week.
Our last positive Covid was 9/10.
